Migrate from Lemlist
From Lemlist to BoomSauce.
Lemlist nailed AI personalization and video icebreakers. The deliverability story is weaker — and the per-seat pricing kills agencies.
Why migrate
- · Per-seat pricing scales linearly with team size ($69+/seat)
- · Mailwarm shares warmup pools across all customers — competitor-aware
- · No native domain rotation enforcement
- · No per-mailbox reputation visibility
What you keep
- Your sequence templates (Lemlist exports them as text — paste into BoomSauce)
- Existing CRM webhook integrations (we re-fire the same event shape)
What changes
- Personalization variables: Lemlist's {{firstName}} maps to ours; video icebreakers are not yet supported
- AI persona / icebreaker generation moves to your enrichment tool (Clay, OpenAI direct)
- Mailwarm warmup → CheddarInbox P2P warmup (real human mailboxes, no shared pool)
The migration plan.
- 01
Export contacts and sequences
Lemlist → Campaign → Export. Drop the CSV in BoomSauce; sequence templates paste into the template editor.
- 02
Connect or buy domains
BYOD free, or fresh at $25/yr. We provision 5 mailboxes per domain with auth records.
- 03
Rebuild personalization
Lemlist's liquid templating is supported. Video and image icebreakers are on roadmap — for now, plain text first-touch is the rec anyway.
- 04
Migrate in cohorts
Same as Apollo: one cohort on each platform for 30 days. Compare reply rates and bounce rates side-by-side.
Caveats — read before you commit.
- If video icebreakers are core to your motion, wait for our v2 or stay on Lemlist for that workflow.
- AI icebreaker generation isn't built-in (yet). Use Clay or your own enrichment to pre-fill personalization fields.
